Most reviews are saying that its hard to see in low light situations, and thats true, however the backlight more than does the job in those situations. In normal lighting its easy to see, and the black on black look really pops. This watch is definitely not for everyone, but it works like a charm for me. I have owned several over the past couple of decades starting in the military. This is my first dissappointment with Casio watches….. The face of the watch, buttons and setup are pretty standard for G-Shock watches…. The cool looking black screen with light lettering/numbers is the issue. In low light situations you cannot see the lettering/numbers. For example my coworker was sitting 10 feet away from me and I could read his standard G-Shock from across the room to tell the time when I couldn’t even read mine on my wrist without using the light on the watch….. If you work during the day or in brightly lit rooms all the time this may not be an issue, but if you are in and out of low lit areas, outside during dusk/dawn this watch will not be for you.
