The watch is incredibly built.

My only problem is the display should have been larger given the size of the watch. The display is the same size as a regular 5600 casio.

At this price for a non atomic wave receptor casio it should have utilized a larger display and the new led illuminator.

If you go to youtube and search casio gx56 you can see how someone fit the basic 5600 inside the body of a gx56 and you couldn’t tell the difference.

The Casio Men’s GD100-1ACR G-Shock X-Large Black Multi-Functional Digital Sport Watch is a much better purchase.

the screen is bigger than the 5600. let me tell you that this is my favorite g shock out there. This is my 6th g shock purchase, 2 are my wifes. i have the classic 5600 for work, i do construction. 6900 solar atomic, gw7900 “rescue” solar atomic. all my watches are black, with sharpie marker coloring in all the writing on the resin only not the glass. i am not that into the negative display on the rescue but thats the only way to get it with the atomic and solar. i think the gx 56 1b is the nicest of all the gx line, best for everyday use. its solid black unlike the other black with red buttons. this ones screen is wayyy easyer to see trust me!!! just dont be surprised how big it is when you get it, strongest toughest g shock ever. i give it 5 stars easy

Whoa…what a watch. Solid, lightweight, built to survive even if you don’t. I was brought up with these watches. G-Shocks have always been around in my life. I have always been impressed with build quality, size style. I love that these watches have set the tone for how a well built watch could be. That leads me to the GX56-1B (that’s the black and gold one) . If you are reading this than you might be interested in purchasing this…you do your research…good for you. Well friend look no further than the GX56-1B. By far the best..best…best G-shock I have ever had, or tried. I wanted the Frogman-great super expensive esp. if you don’t dive, than the Mudman- wow that’s sharp- once again pricey for what it is. The GX56-1B is a clear example of function over form. The thing is simple. Period. I mean easy to use. There are reviews talking about how big it is-yes it is big, but not too big. Im a medium-larger guy-not to big at all. If you have used a G-Shock for a few days in your life than working this watch is instinctive. Love the Tough Solar-charged up quick, love the 200m water resist, love the sealed mud resist-just like the Mudman, love how easy it is to read, love that it is not on atomic time-some of you will not like that-get the Japanese model- that has atomic time- much more $ $ . Oh yeah- the price -awesome!! It was sent super,super,super quick, it met the description perfectly. All around one of the best purchases in a long time. Get it-wont be sorry.
